| sp41 | 5.2005 | Card for the Hero Arts Spring 2005 Ribbons and Stitches Contest. All stamps by Hero Arts. The white button is by Making Memories and the clear button on the inside is by Hero Arts. I stamped on both buttons using Ancient Page Coal Black permanent ink. | |
| sp40 | 5.2005 | Entry for the Hero Arts Spring 2005 Ribbons and Stitches Contest Scrapbook page and card duo category. This is what I've been doing all spring: hunting for wildflowers (and taking pictures of them), riding my new bike, and stamping! All stamps by Hero Arts. I distressed library pockets with Tim Holtz tea dye and antique linen ink, then took them apart, then I stamped the stiches around the edges and cut out a square in the middle. Then I put a piece of transparency sheet in place of the cut out square, and put them back together again! Sorry these pictures are so dark, the sun kept going in and out. The colors aren't exactly true to life, especially in the card and the tags that go in the pocket on the card. |

I submitted these cards to the Rubber Stamper for Mother's Day. I was trying to go with the "shabby chic" look, but not so shabby that a mom would think it was "you better clean your stamp room, this is too messy" shabby! Had a ton of fun making them. I used Fabriano notecards for all of them. These notecards are handmade in Italy. Alphabet stamps by Hero Arts, Stamper's Anonymous, Ma Vinci's Reliquary and PSX. Saying and woman by Hero Arts.
